Walter Huarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uxio Estremiana, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uxio Estremiana in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Huarte saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. In the 31stth minute of the game Alejandro Garriga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sanchez Vagrande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dani Galiana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Fuerza Amarilla's Vicente Valdero got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Alejandro Garriga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

58 minutes into the match, Uxio Estremiana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Huarte. Astillero del Guayas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Uxio Estremiana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uxio Estremiana in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Huarte saved Astillero del Guayas from getting behind. Walter Huarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uxio Estremiana's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. When Fuerza Amarilla's Uxio Estremiana in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Astillero del Guayas's goalie prevented a goal. In the 72nd minute, Hakkı Deniz Bedi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uxio Estremiana in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the Astillero del Guayas defense, Uxio Estremiana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walter Huarte. The Astillero del Guayas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walter Huarte should have stopped the shot. 85 minutes into the match, Fuerza Amarilla's Osvaldo Abar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Walter Huarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Astillero del Guayas got a freekick which was hit by Ulizes Sola. 87 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Uxio Estremiana came free, but Walter Huarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uxio Estremiana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Huarte having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Uxio Estremiana notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Astillero del Guayas's Walter Huarte. Walter Huarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uxio Estremiana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walter Huarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
