Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Marty Midgley made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Marty Midgley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 6 minutes, Theo Hopkinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garlic Eaters and the Carlisle United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Theo Hopkinson hit a great ball. In the 13th minute Marty Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brandon Wells saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute, Hugh Tyson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Hugh Tyson in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Garlic Eaters's Albert Corbett. Brandon Wells was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marty Midgley showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Brandon Wells took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gareth Vaughn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marty Midgley in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brandon Wells saved Garlic Eaters from getting behind. After 35 minutes, James Tuck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garlic Eaters and the Carlisle United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Christian Campbell got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Christian Campbell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gareth Vaughn got free with Brandon Wells in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when James Tuck made the kick off in the second half. Gareth Vaughn might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Brandon Wells. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gareth Vaughn ran back to his position shaking his head. Brandon Wells showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Midgley, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute Josh Ring suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Albert Corbett's late challenge caught a Carlisle United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albert Corbett helped the player get up and apologised. Carlisle United made a substitution. Adam Whittaker replaced Josh Ring. In the 65th minute, Albert Corbett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66thth minute of the game Gareth Vaughn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garlic Eaters's Brandon Wells was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gareth Vaughn in the 69th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Brandon Wells to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marty Midgley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shaun Oliver charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shaun Oliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Garlic Eaters! Brandon Wells had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Duncan Draper's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Gareth Vaughn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Brandon Wells was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marek Kinsey during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Garlic Eaters got a freekick which was hit by Marek Kinsey. In the 85th minute of the match Duncan Draper sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brandon Wells skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gareth Vaughn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlisle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gareth Vaughn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Wells breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, James Tuck recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Danny Paine. James Tuck showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Brad Hudson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carlisle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Brad Hudson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brandon Wells breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Garlic Eaters defense, Marty Midgley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brandon Wells. The Garlic Eaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brandon Wells should have stopped the shot.
