If Lilcho Stiliyanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arhangel Marikin kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, CSKA-LULIN's goal looked a bit too open when Arhangel Duhtev came free, but Slavcho Vandev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Arhangel Duhtev had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Slavcho Vandev. CSKA-LULIN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arhangel Duhtev was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 30th minute Yoncho Búrdarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Vandev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Vandev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arhangel Duhtev in the 32nd minute of play. After some careless play in the CSKA-LULIN defense, Arhangel Duhtev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Slavcho Vandev. The CSKA-LULIN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Slavcho Vandev should have stopped the shot. Lilcho Stiliyanov hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Yoncho Búrdarov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yoncho Búrdarov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half MANCHESTER UNITED were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valcho Zhirov was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Bayan Angelov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Vandev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slavcho Vandev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoncho Búrdarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 61 minutes into the match, CSKA-LULIN's goalkeeper Slavcho Vandev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nayden Mantarkov. Nayden Mantarkov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Slavcho Vandev made a huge save. Slavcho Vandev made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Nayden Mantarkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Nayden Mantarkov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Slavcho Vandev, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to CSKA-LULIN getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gercho Borkov hit a great ball. Slavcho Vandev acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 90th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Igor Tariyski. Dochko Mirinchev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valcho Zhirov in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Rangel Radonov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over MANCHESTER UNITED could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than CSKA-LULIN throughout the match.
