Leontin Mareș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nechifor Ciurea, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Șerban Rusu managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's supporters rose to their feet, but Șerban Rusu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leontin Mareș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcu Ferenț hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Leontin Mareș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gigel Bulgar went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of -BZF- Ursus Magura booed when F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nechifor Ciurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Valer Oprescu fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Ursus Magura's protests and gave Valer Oprescu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, -BZF- Ursus Magura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Oprescu to maneuver through the defense. Nechifor Ciurea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Mareș having to interfere. Aurel Blăjan kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a little luck, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Claudiu Pușcașu got control of the ball when Romeo Păunescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cătălin Spirea's late challenge caught a F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cătălin Spirea helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to -BZF- Ursus Magura getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Cătălin Spirea hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Gigel Bulgar notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of -BZF- Ursus Magura's Leontin Mareș. Leontin Mareș was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leontin Mareș stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurel Blăjan's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Romeo Păunescu made the kick off in the second half. Claudiu Pușcașu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Păunescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, -BZF- Ursus Magura's Victor Baldu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claudiu Pușcașu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Aurel Blăjan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 68th minute, Gigel Bulgar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leontin Mareș. The goal made the score 2-3. Leontin Mareș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Bulgar in the 78th minute of the match. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Leontin Mareș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Bulgar in the 83rd minute of play. Claudiu Pușcașu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcu Ferenț in the 85th minute of the match. Gigel Bulgar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leontin Mareș having to interfere. Aurel Blăjan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Leontin Mareș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Leontin Mareș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigel Bulgar in the 94th minute of play. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
