Eugen Ştefulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Răzvan Frumuzache in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Răzvan Frumuzache had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugen Ştefulescu. AC MiLaN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Răzvan Frumuzache was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Albert Ţiţeica struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Leonard Baran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC MiLaN. After 16 minutes, Leontin Vâlcu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. AC MiLaN's Eugen Ştefulescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 20th play minutes Leontin Vâlcu shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Eugen Ştefulescu and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, FC BaLiSt's Leonard Baran got control of the ball when Dinu Bosioc tried to sneak it across the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Vâlcu came free, but Eugen Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dinu Bosioc hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Aristide Mestecăneanu's late challenge caught a FC BaLiSt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristide Mestecăneanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th match minute, AC MiLaN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Mestecăneanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Leontin Vâlcu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 40 played minutes FC BaLiSt got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Marin. 43 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Frumuzache came free, but Eugen Ştefulescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Vâlcu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eugen Ştefulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leontin Vâlcu to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Leontin Vâlcu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eugen Ştefulescu. That made the score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. In the 65th minute, FC BaLiSt's Leontin Vâlcu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the last second Eugen Ştefulescu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Leontin Vâlcu in the 69thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Eugen Ştefulescu stood somewhat misplaced when Leontin Vâlcu came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 73 minute. Eugen Ştefulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leontin Vâlcu in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute Leontin Vâlcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Ştefulescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, AC MiLaN's goalkeeper Eugen Ştefulescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emil Șeimeanu. Emil Șeimeanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Ştefulescu having to interfere.
