Haymakers FC's Stig Brask got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Kjell Malmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Malmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Wennerquist came free, but Andreas Möller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Malmgren to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaf Wennerquist in the 22nd minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Andreas Möller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Haymakers FC's Kim Kullgren got control of the ball when Jimmie Runeberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gustaf Wennerquist came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Haymakers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaf Wennerquist couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Haymakers FC's Kim Kullgren got control of the ball when Peter Almqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 played minutes Haymakers FC got a freekick which was hit by Per Allbom. In the 32nd minute, Karl-Oskar Törnblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaf Wennerquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Andreas Möller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Sven-Edvin Dahlberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Andreas Möller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 43rd minute, Haymakers FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jimmie Runeberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Haymakers FC's Kim Kullgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Malmgren in the 44th minute of play.
Sven-Edvin Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Möller was a little too slow when Gustaf Wennerquist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. Jimmie Runeberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 60 minutes, Kjell Malmgren made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Haymakers FC's Kim Kullgren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Arsenal FC's Claes Linquist seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claes Linquist the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arsenal FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claes Linquist had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 66 minutes into the game, one of Arsenal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Haymakers FC's Gustaf Wennerquist got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Andreas Möller. Jarl Granström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Möller having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gustaf Wennerquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haymakers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaf Wennerquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andreas Möller breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute Gustaf Wennerquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Möller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Almqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim Kullgren having to interfere. Olof Kjellbom hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Andreas Möller made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Gustaf Wennerquist sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Stig Brask stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Möller came out of the goal and Stig Brask tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Haymakers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Kjellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haymakers FC's Gustaf Wennerquist couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Arsenal FC. Haymakers FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
