Spectators: 177 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Randall Jaramillo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Julian Dillard tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Arellano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 5th minute, Julian Dillard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Recolta Alamor's zone, Julian Dillard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Arellano came out of the goal and Julian Dillard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Jose Clarke got a free kick in the 9th minute. Truman Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randall Jaramillo in the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of C. A. Independiente booed when Recolta Alamor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilbert Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Recolta Alamor's Wilson Arellano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Recolta Alamor from getting a goal against them. Truman Cooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Kuhn in the 33rd minute of the match. Rodney Urbina kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Randall Jaramillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Recolta Alamor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Wilbert Velasco took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Truman Cooley. Truman Cooley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Rupert Simmons blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Truman Cooley having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Jaramillo in the 46th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Truman Cooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jose Clarke fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C. A. Independiente's protests and gave Jose Clarke a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodney Urbina was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Norberto Ivey during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Norberto Ivey hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Julian Dillard sped through Recolta Alamor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Arellano. Recolta Alamor's Wilson Arellano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Dillard in the 61st minute of play. Truman Cooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Jaramillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Recolta Alamor made a substitution. Peter Pujols replaced Vern Smalls. After 79 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Quintin Starkey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randall Jaramillo in the 85th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Truman Cooley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quintin Starkey hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 94thth minute of the game Julian Dillard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Recolta Alamor's Wilson Arellano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto Ivey hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When Julian Dillard came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julian Dillard couldn't finish the play.
