In the 14th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Hvalica to maneuver through the defense. If Melchor Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zeledon Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Manilan in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Osmundo to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute of the match Mauro Oinatz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Alonso skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Melchor Bermudez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Farias. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. When Arturo Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Álvarez's protests and gave Arturo Marquez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Deportivo Álvarez getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Arturo Marquez hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Felipillo got free with Julio Farias in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Farias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Felipillo in the 43rd minute of the match. BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erubiel Beliran in the 44th minute. After taking down the ball on BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's corner Erubiel Beliran fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Farias quite easily take care of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alan Hvalica made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Álvarez's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo Txema came free, but Julio Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Alan Hvalica got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Julio Farias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Bermudez in the 62nd minute of play. Mauro Oinatz kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Melchor Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Farias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cirilo Bingen's late challenge caught a BORBOTONES FUTBOL CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cirilo Bingen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 74th match minute, Club Deportivo Álvarez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Bingen to maneuver through the defense. Julio Farias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Txema, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
