The Estudiantes de América fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Estudiantes de América's Elias Argoitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Deportivo Mukenio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Polo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Luke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Aquilino Prejun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th match minute, Estudiantes de América was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Mon to maneuver through the defense. Melchor Evarado kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Llanos in the 20th minute of play forced Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper Adrian Ospetsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Llanos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Matias Llanos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justo Ferrer's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de América's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justo Ferrer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Mukenio's Justo Ferrer got a free kick in the 56th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ezequiel Luke in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aquilino Prejun saved Deportivo Mukenio from getting behind. Aquilino Prejun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Argoitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Elias Argoitz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estudiantes de América's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Argoitz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Prejun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estudiantes de América's Lino Ekialde was substituted for Isaias Cutberto. 71 minutes into the game, Estudiantes de América's Ezequiel Luke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Prejun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The audience was convinced that Elias Argoitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aquilino Prejun was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Deportivo Mukenio's Aquilino Prejun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Argoitz in the 76th minute of play.
