Jairo Medero came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Altos Gatos FC's Victoriano Silban. But to his dismay, Victoriano Silban quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Altos Gatos FC's goalkeeper Marco Elorri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jairo Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Joanes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Joanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Calixto came free, but Marco Elorri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Altos Gatos FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Platense es de Primera!!'s Jairo Medero got control of the ball when Anselmo Joanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Anselmo Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Medero having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horacio Nuñez got free with Jairo Medero in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Nuñez in the 75th minute of the match. Marco Elorri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Aguilera in the 83rd minute of play. Jairo Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victoriano Silban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anselmo Joanes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Medero having to interfere. Marco Elorri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luisito Calixto's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. The supporters of Altos Gatos FC booed when Platense es de Primera!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Stephen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliberto Virila got free with Jairo Medero in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Altos Gatos FC played a much better game than Platense es de Primera!! and deserved their victory. The Platense es de Primera!! players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
