After having played for 3 minutes, Daniel Lertxun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHIZUOKA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Lertxun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Vargas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Simon Ihazintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Vargas in the 29th minute of play. If Mario Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Godfredo Marcones came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the A.F Cuervos Azulgranas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Marcones couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the A.F Cuervos Azulgranas defense, Mario Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benicio Santxol. The A.F Cuervos Azulgranas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benicio Santxol should have stopped the shot. Benjamin Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Simon Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
