Don Malbec's Severo Tiadoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Santxol in the 5th minute of play. In the 11th minute Octavio Estavan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Kismi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Atlanta's zone, Octavio Estavan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Kismi came out of the goal and Octavio Estavan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Gudesteo came free with the goalkeeper in the 14th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnoldo Kismi could save by the left post. Nereo Nesor charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nereo Nesor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Nereo Nesor hit a great ball. Arnoldo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavio Estavan in the 21st minute of play. Severo Tiadoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Cordarrell went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Arnoldo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Abalos in the 33rd minute of play. C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Atlanta from getting a goal against them. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Arturo Flores hit a great ball. Roque Ariando took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arnoldo Kismi. C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Octavio Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnoldo Kismi having to interfere. C. A. Atlanta's Arnoldo Kismi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save C. A. Atlanta from getting a goal against them. After the first half C. A. Atlanta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Mario Padro made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Gudesteo in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnoldo Kismi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arnoldo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Mariano Santxol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Gudesteo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abel Quintan hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The attack was good, but when Mariano Santxol in the 75th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gustavo Abalos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Arnoldo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eulalio Faro during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, C. A. A. Atlanta's attentive Mariano Santxol managed to snatch the ball when Abel Quintan made a throw-in in the 94th minute of the game. In the 95th minute, Mario Padro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severo Tiadoro. The goal made the score 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C. A. Atlanta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
