In the 15th minute, Adolfas Gasiūnas made a precise shot to the right of Giorgos Kakos. Unione Sportiva's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 18 played minutes Nadruvis got a freekick which was hit by Vytautas Jaunius. After some careless play in the Unione Sportiva defense, Rolandas Daniela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giorgos Kakos. The Unione Sportiva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgos Kakos should have stopped the shot. Unione Sportiva's Konstantinos Lalas got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Konstantinos Lalas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Glaukos Atsidakos came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Unione Sportiva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glaukos Atsidakos couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nadruvis! 47 minutes into the match, Unione Sportiva's goal looked a bit too open when Rolandas Daniela came free, but Giorgos Kakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glaukos Atsidakos made a kick off. Vytautas Jaunius kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Regimantas Samulionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glaukos Atsidakos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gylippus Xydis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Regimantas Samulionis having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Vytautas Jaunius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Regimantas Samulionis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Konstantinos Lalas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Regimantas Samulionis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glaukos Atsidakos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the game, Rolandas Daniela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nadruvis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unione Sportiva the free kick. With a little luck, Unione Sportiva's Giorgos Kakos got control of the ball when Vytautas Jaunius tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nadruvis's Regimantas Samulionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantinos Lalas in the 80th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Konstantinos Lalas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes, Karolis Genčiauskas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nadruvis and the Unione Sportiva players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, Karolis Genčiauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nadruvis's Regimantas Samulionis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nessos Koulaxizis in the 92nd minute of play. The Nadruvis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nadruvis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
