The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Radamel-Falcao García's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Rexino Arevalo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 34th match minute, America De Cali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xosepe Viesca to maneuver through the defense. Vimaro Serans succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 37th playminute. In the 43rd minute Vimaro Serans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rexino Arevalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radamel-Falcao García recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xosepe Viesca to make the kick off. Rexino Arevalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xelo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Radamel-Falcao García got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rexino Arevalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radamel-Falcao García, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ made a substitution. Enmanuel Plaza replaced Vimaro Serans. Radamel-Falcao García hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 68thth minute of the game Enmanuel Plaza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but America De Cali's Rexino Arevalo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the America De Cali defense, João Cancelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rexino Arevalo. The America De Cali fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rexino Arevalo should have stopped the shot. When Bittor Adarzo fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's protests and gave Bittor Adarzo a yellow card for diving instead. Sebastiano Machin walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Rexino Arevalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erramun Cepa in the 78th minute of play. After some careless play in the America De Cali defense, Radamel-Falcao García kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rexino Arevalo. The America De Cali fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rexino Arevalo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, America De Cali's Orlondon Lando got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Radamel-Falcao García notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of America De Cali's Rexino Arevalo. Rexino Arevalo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel-Falcao García in the 88th minute of play forced America De Cali's goalkeeper Rexino Arevalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rexino Arevalo came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ's Radamel-Falcao García. But to his dismay, Radamel-Falcao García quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Rexino Arevalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radamel-Falcao García in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Enmanuel Plaza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rexino Arevalo. America De Cali's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enmanuel Plaza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the America De Cali players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aʀɴᴏʀ Fᴄ.
