After a rather tough play, Wrexham's Xzavaier Contera got a free kick in the 5th minute. Llope Alva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Oliverio Grados made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Municipal's zone, Bras Aller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marz Arratia came out of the goal and Bras Aller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Wrexham's Oliverio Grados got control of the ball when Marcos Goxenola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marz Arratia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bras Aller in the 15th minute of the match. Wrexham's Oliverio Grados proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Wrexham from getting a goal against them. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wrexham's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Llope Alva was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Municipal's players had a chance to rest. Llope Alva made a great header on Atlético Municipal's corner, it was just that Wrexham's Oliverio Grados managed to reach the ball for a save. Bautista Bausa kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Llope Alva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliverio Grados showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Orti Muriel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wrexham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Municipal the free kick. Orti Muriel kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Wrexham's Orti Muriel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Orti Muriel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Wrexham protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Orti Muriel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Atlético Municipal booed when Wrexham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orti Muriel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Zuhaitz Periceira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Municipal's supporters rose to their feet, but Zuhaitz Periceira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliverio Grados breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliverio Grados made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermelando Magarinos in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Wrexham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Saez to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Atlético Municipal's Llope Alva tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Bautista Bausa hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

52 minutes into the game, Atlético Municipal's Llope Alva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliverio Grados made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Wrexham's Xzavaier Contera got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wrexham's Tiso Chica got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Wrexham defense, Hermelando Magarinos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliverio Grados. The Wrexham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliverio Grados should have stopped the shot. If Marcos Goxenola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiso Chica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Marz Arratia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Atlético Municipal's Hermelando Magarinos in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wrexham's goalie prevented a goal. In the 80th minute, Hermelando Magarinos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 83rd minute Hermelando Magarinos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Grados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Wrexham's goal looked a bit too open when Hermelando Magarinos came free, but Oliverio Grados reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Municipal were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Wrexham for a fine match.
