Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Vinícius Salles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 11 minutes into the game, Célio Cardoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sipo EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AVAÍ F.C. the free kick. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Célio Cardoso hit a great ball. After 14 minutes, Renan Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sipo EC and the AVAÍ F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Renan Luz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Sipo EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Messias to maneuver through the defense. Alfredinho Maia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 18 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Sipo EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AVAÍ F.C.:s goal. Lúcio das Neves went to the wrong direction when Anderson Mattos was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Jorge Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Jorge Pinho got a free kick in the 27th minute. Vinícius Salles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benjamim Trancoso. Vinícius Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Cardoso in the 29th minute of the match. Marcinho Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinícius Salles having to interfere. When Renan Luz came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sipo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Luz couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Jorge Pinho got a free kick in the 33rd minute. AVAÍ F.C.'s Vinícius Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcinho Vianna in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Marcinho Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vinícius Salles was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, AVAÍ F.C.'s Joaquim Ceresso got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Benjamim Trancoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinícius Salles showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 47 minutes, Gláuber Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AVAÍ F.C. and the Sipo EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gláuber Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber Meirelles. In the 49th minute of the match Benjamim Trancoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vinícius Salles skillfully saved the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Vinícius Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcinho Vianna in the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of Sipo EC booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renan Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Vinícius Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of AVAÍ F.C. booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lúcio das Neves was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Joaquim Ceresso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joaquim Ceresso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. Vinícius Salles came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sipo EC's Marcinho Vianna. But to his dismay, Marcinho Vianna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Marcinho Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Sipo EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcinho Vianna couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Sipo EC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Renan Luz hit a great ball. When Anderson Mattos fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AVAÍ F.C.'s protests and gave Anderson Mattos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to AVAÍ F.C. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Anderson Mattos hit a great ball. Vitório Prado's late challenge caught a Sipo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vitório Prado helped the player get up and apologised. Vitório Prado kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
