Bruninho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex da Silveira in the 11th minute of play. Natanael Zanette hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Marco Marquez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 13th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. A collision led to GeRaÇãO-83 getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Natanael Zanette hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sagarana Clube's Chico de Medeiros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some careless play in the GeRaÇãO-83 defense, Christian Severo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruninho Leite. The GeRaÇãO-83 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruninho Leite should have stopped the shot. If Sidnei Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alex da Silveira took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruninho Leite. Bruninho Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Marco Marquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisinho Goiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Gilmar Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Leite having to interfere. Marco Marquez made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Tales Valladares sent off a good shot on target. The GeRaÇãO-83 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sagarana Clube were winning 1-2.

Sagarana Clube's Marco Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Goiano in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Alex da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sagarana Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to GeRaÇãO-83 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Emanuel Schmidt hit a great ball. A hard shot by Chico de Medeiros from long distance, 59 minutes into the match, got Bruninho Leite's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marco Marquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tales Valladares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Gilmar Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yan Salles hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Leopoldo Linares's late challenge caught a Sagarana Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Linares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 89th match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Linares to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, GeRaÇãO-83's Anselmo Baptista got a free kick in the 95th minute.
