The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafinha Cosme during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafinha Cosme hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Botafogo MZRJ defense, Artur Brasil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Ramos. The Botafogo MZRJ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Ramos should have stopped the shot. Enio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Sílvio Luís da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cido Nóbrega charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cido Nóbrega the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cido Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Enio Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Clóvis Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Casa Real de Savóia F.C.'s Téo Velloso got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luís da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandão Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Marco Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo Velloso went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 65th minute, Cido Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 68 played minutes Casa Real de Savóia F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Barral. Rafinha Cosme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Sílvio Luís da Silva made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Wilian Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Botafogo MZRJ's Cido Nóbrega got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Cido Nóbrega off the ground. After a rather tough play, Botafogo MZRJ's Cido Nóbrega got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rafinha Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luís da Silva having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Osvaldo Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Velloso in the 89th minute of play forced Botafogo MZRJ's goalkeeper Marco Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Clóvis Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Casa Real de Savóia F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Botafogo MZRJ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
