Armando Orlando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Cearense having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Melo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sandrinho Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 17th minute Wiliam Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sandrinho Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ruy Fantini fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.A. Francana's protests and gave Ruy Fantini a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, A.A. Francana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruy Fantini to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match, Rui Eger tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Cearense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gil Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jean de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Veiga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ezequiel Melo went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute Jean de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes, Wellington Schmidt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the A.A. Francana players grew even worse after the yellow card.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Melo to make the kick off. Jean de Barros took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Cearense. Pedro Cearense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 61 minutes, Gil Velloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AF CERRADO and the A.A. Francana players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gil Velloso hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Gil Velloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandrinho Veiga. Gil Velloso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When Jean de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the A.A. Francana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean de Barros couldn't finish the play. After 83 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by David Loureiro. Pedro Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Fantini in the 85th minute of play. Ezequiel Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ezequiel Melo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Pedro Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the game, A.A. Francana's Jean de Barros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The AF CERRADO supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AF CERRADO would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
