The crowd rose to their feet as Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Hélio Capixaba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dedê Macedo. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. In the 8th minute Severino Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Os Fura Olho F.C. getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Anselmo Mazza hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Custódio in the 10th minute of play forced Os Fura Olho F.C.'s goalkeeper Wágner Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Custódio in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wágner Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Mário Custódio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Wágner Carneiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Capixaba in the 14th minute of play forced Canastro FC's goalkeeper Dedê Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dedê Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amílton Vergílio in the 15th minute of the match. After 18 minutes, Edgar Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Os Fura Olho F.C. and the Canastro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Os Fura Olho F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canastro FC:s goal. Wágner Carneiro went to the wrong direction when Edu Bezerra was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Anselmo Mazza got a free kick in the 24th minute. A collision led to Canastro FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Rezende hit a great ball. When Luís Gustavo Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canastro FC's protests and gave Luís Gustavo Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Canastro FC's Luís Gustavo Rezende got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canastro FC's goalkeeper Dedê Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wágner Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Custódio in the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd match minute, Os Fura Olho F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Wágner Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Cearense in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Celsinho Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Celsinho Cearense notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Wágner Carneiro. Wágner Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliseu Toscano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dedê Macedo came out and tried to block the shot, but Eliseu Toscano slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Celsinho Cearense made the kick off in the second half. Dedê Macedo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Amílton Vergílio. But to his dismay, Amílton Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Eliseu Toscano hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Carlos Eduardo Damião's late challenge caught a Canastro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Eduardo Damião helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Os Fura Olho F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Wágner Carneiro, was totally fooled by Canastro FC's Edu Bezerra, who 63 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 66th minute, Eduardo Koehler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Canastro FC were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Os Fura Olho F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edu Bezerra took the corner. Mário Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Carneiro having to interfere. Jonas Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Wágner Carneiro came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Canastro FC's Celsinho Cearense. But to his dismay, Celsinho Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. After a rather tough play, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Eliseu Toscano got a free kick in the 84th minute. Severino Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Wágner Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Os Fura Olho F.C. booed when Canastro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Anselmo Mazza shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dedê Macedo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Toscano in the 93rd minute of play forced Canastro FC's goalkeeper Dedê Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mário Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wágner Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Wágner Carneiro got control of the ball when Celsinho Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 101 minutes into the game, Os Fura Olho F.C.'s Eliseu Toscano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dedê Macedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4.
