Valdir Peres charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdir Peres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Renan Tinoco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Cláudio Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Jarbas Furlan sent off a good shot on target. Carlinhos Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rdth minute of the game Maicon Baiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sumaré Sport Club's Carlinhos Palmeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Adriano Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlinhos Palmeira. Sumaré Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Carlinhos Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durvalino de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 84 minutes of play, TAQUARI FC's Maicon Baiano made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sumaré Sport Club's Carlinhos Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino de Amaral in the 90th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Maicon Baiano came free, but Carlinhos Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon Baiano in the 93rd minute of play forced Sumaré Sport Club's goalkeeper Carlinhos Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlinhos Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Soares in the 94th minute of play.
