The Jenipapo SC fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Jenipapo SC's Eliseu Trancoso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Murillo Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseu Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Luiz Fernando Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Murillo Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eliseu Trancoso went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Germania F.C. booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clóvis Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Germania F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Zé Augusto Zonta came free, but Murillo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fernando Chaves to make the kick off. Murillo Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseu Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After having played for 65 minutes, Eliseu Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jenipapo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliseu Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eriberto dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Jenipapo SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto dos Santos couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, Lauro Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jenipapo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germania F.C. the free kick.
