The referee ignored Obrero Barquisimeto's protests and gave Cleto Nao a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Cleto Nao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pepe Concellon made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Tauro Sandoval sent off a good shot on target. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ríver Late's goalie and right to Froilan Molino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ríver Late's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 19th minute Tauro Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Concellon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xose Cantiello scored 1-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pepe Concellon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute, Xacobo Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gabon Mesia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Obrero Barquisimeto's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabon Mesia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerrald Argandona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xose Cantiello was the one to do the kick off. Gabon Mesia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Jerrald Argandona skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Honorio Laguna kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Ríver Late was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edorta Solares to maneuver through the defense. Peru Padura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Pepe Concellon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nesor Sardaneta kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Pepe Concellon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xose Cantiello, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Ríver Late's Jerrald Argandona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Ríver Late from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Froilan Molino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerrald Argandona was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 77th minute Erlantz Penilla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Concellon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David McInstalker kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Veronica Espinosa, 80 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Jerrald Argandona was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Honorio Laguna. Luciano Aza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabon Mesia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Jerrald Argandona made a huge save. Jerrald Argandona didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 92nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ríver Late had played much better football throughout.
