Cayetano Tono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severiano Clemencin in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Jonathan Veronica had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cayetano Tono. Fashions del Averno's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonathan Veronica was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cayetano Tono stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Veronica's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 28 minutes, Baldomero Bermund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fashions del Averno and the Les Tigres players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Baldomero Bermund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Pacho in the 34th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Paulino Lain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cayetano Tono was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Les Tigres were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amancio Deunoro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Niceto Gil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Les Tigres were furious when Abel Estebe was red carded, 56 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
