With his leg Alexander Manninger managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Garlic Eaters's Jacob Rawlings fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pierce Wrigley's late challenge caught a Manchester United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierce Wrigley helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Pierce Wrigley got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Kyle Blacknell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garlic Eaters's Eurico Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Farmer in the 21st minute of play. Eurico Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Farmer in the 22nd minute of play. Alexander Manninger made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Parrondo in the 24th minute. Jacob Rawlings sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Stuart Legzdins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eurico Moreno was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After some careless play in the Garlic Eaters defense, Radomir Karbowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eurico Moreno. The Garlic Eaters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eurico Moreno should have stopped the shot. 39 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Blacknell came free, but Eurico Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radomir Karbowski to strike the kick off in the second half. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manchester United F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
