Thomas Kortzidis made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Zlatan Messi sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Sofoklis Siamantouras left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kerkyra FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zlatan Messi in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thomas Kortzidis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thomas Kortzidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zlatan Messi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Peristasi FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Argyris Kanetis was slow to take the kick. During this time Kerkyra FC's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Thanos Papagiannopoulos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Kosmas Menegakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alisson Becker was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Peristasi FC's Thomas Kortzidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Peristasi FC from getting a goal against them. Zlatan Messi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Thomas Kortzidis made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Zlatan Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Kortzidis. Peristasi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zlatan Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zlatan Messi made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Messi in the 51st minute of play forced Peristasi FC's goalkeeper Thomas Kortzidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erli Haaland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Kortzidis having to make a save. In the 53rd minute Sofoklis Siamantouras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Kortzidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Kortzidis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sofoklis Siamantouras went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Messi in the 59th minute of play forced Peristasi FC's goalkeeper Thomas Kortzidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes, Alexis Papagiannoulis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peristasi FC and the Kerkyra FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Kerkyra FC booed when Peristasi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexis Papagiannoulis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute, Alexis Papagiannoulis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zlatan Messi scored 6-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Kortzidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zlatan Messi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomas Kortzidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Peristasi FC's Thomas Kortzidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zlatan Messi in the 75th minute of play. Zlatan Messi might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomas Kortzidis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zlatan Messi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute Zlatan Messi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Kortzidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sofoklis Siamantouras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kosmas Menegakis took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alisson Becker. Alisson Becker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. After some careless play in the Peristasi FC defense, Zlatan Messi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Kortzidis. The Peristasi FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Kortzidis should have stopped the shot. In the 88thth minute of the game Zlatan Messi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peristasi FC's Thomas Kortzidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Zlatan Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Thomas Kortzidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zlatan Messi took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Kortzidis. Thomas Kortzidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1. There was no doubt that Kerkyra FC were the better team. Kerkyra FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
