The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zvonimir Prestin was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Conrado Romero recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Rotariu. Conrado Romero showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. FC Traktor Götz's Esra Breidert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kai Förster in the 54th minute of play. FC Traktor Götz's supporters rose to their feet, but Fryderyk Dziewulski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Rotariu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esra Breidert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zvonimir Prestin, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute Conrado Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Rotariu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fryderyk Dziewulski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Rotariu came out and tried to block the shot, but Fryderyk Dziewulski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 70th minute. The audience was convinced that Zvonimir Prestin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esra Breidert was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Giacomo Grau was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Traktor Götz's players had a chance to rest. Zvonimir Prestin struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Esra Breidert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PoWer SC 2K5. The PoWer SC 2K5 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC Traktor Götz to win.
