In the 24th minute Octav Romaşcanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionică Bădilescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octav Romaşcanu in the 24th minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Ionică Bădilescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Nicolae Bosioc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Irinel Soneriu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 34 minutes into the match, FC Lutanu's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Iacobescu came free, but Irinel Soneriu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Lutanu getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Șerban Negulici hit a great ball. Iosif Achiriloaie's late challenge caught a FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Iosif Achiriloaie helped the player get up and apologised. Viorel Iacobescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irinel Soneriu having to interfere. Horaţiu Pintilie lost his temper 47 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Emilian Şoimaru was substituted for Sandu Porumbescu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of FC PIETROSUL -MM-:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Lutanu:s goal. The goalkeeper, Ionică Bădilescu, was totally fooled by FC Lutanu's Constantin Istrătescu, who 49 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Șerban Negulici to make the kick off. Aurel Teodoroiu in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Irinel Soneriu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Șerban Negulici took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionică Bădilescu. Ionică Bădilescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The supporters of FC Lutanu booed when FC PIETROSUL -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Ştoia didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Șerban Negulici in the 62nd minute of play forced FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s goalkeeper Ionică Bădilescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th match minute, FC PIETROSUL -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelian Odobescu to maneuver through the defense. FC PIETROSUL -MM- made a substitution. Ciprian Halipa replaced Aurel Teodoroiu. After 67 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Odobescu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciprian Halipa got free with Irinel Soneriu in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Emil Ştoia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Soneriu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Ionică Bădilescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Romaşcanu in the 97th minute of play.
