In the 10th minute Ferdinand Honcioiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iurie Chiriacescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Honcioiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iurie Chiriacescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferdinand Honcioiu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute, Luca Codrea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Juventus PTM's Ferdinand Honcioiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iurie Chiriacescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Juventus PTM's attentive Cristinel Mihalcea managed to snatch the ball when Robert Gane made a throw-in in the 20th minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ferdinand Honcioiu was the one to do the kick off.
