The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Josef Biehl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Vandamme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Jasper Cooreman came free, but Axell Verduin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josef Biehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of FC Gullegem booed when The Wolfpack™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Huveneers didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the game, FC Gullegem's Joe Vandamme nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josef Biehl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Barnaba Pilsudski might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Biehl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaba Pilsudski ran back to his position shaking his head. Josef Biehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Barnaba Pilsudski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josef Biehl was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. FC Gullegem's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ion Giurgiu in the 29th minute. Josef Biehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Giurgiu in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnaba Pilsudski in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josef Biehl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the game, Jasper Cooreman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Axell Verduin. Jasper Cooreman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The Wolfpack™'s attentive Oberst-Wilhelm Carabajal managed to snatch the ball when Emanuel De Roest made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. Axell Verduin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jasper Cooreman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Josef Biehl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pieter Teurfs in the 40th minute of the match. FC Gullegem were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after The Wolfpack™'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ion Giurgiu took the corner. 47 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Axell Verduin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paraskevas Apostolakos. The The Wolfpack™ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Gullegem were winning 1-2.

FC Gullegem's Waut Du Molin was substituted for Emanuel De Roest. If Barnaba Pilsudski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, FC Gullegem's Josef Biehl threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Barnaba Pilsudski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Barnaba Pilsudski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Josef Biehl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Pilsudski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of FC Gullegem booed when The Wolfpack™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natan Omblets didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ion Giurgiu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Giurgiu couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, The Wolfpack™'s goal looked a bit too open when Barnaba Pilsudski came free, but Josef Biehl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Axell Verduin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Cooreman in the 65th minute of the match. Barnaba Pilsudski might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Josef Biehl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barnaba Pilsudski ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes in the game Waut Du Molin did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Pieter Teurfs. Barnaba Pilsudski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Axell Verduin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Cooreman in the 77th minute of the match. Barnaba Pilsudski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josef Biehl having to make a save. Josef Biehl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Pilsudski in the 79th minute of play. FC Gullegem's Ion Giurgiu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Abraham van Goetsenhoven, made in the 87th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barnaba Pilsudski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Josef Biehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, FC Gullegem's Gertjan De Geyter got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The FC Gullegem supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Gullegem would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
