Charlotte FC's Wander Suzanne took a good shot, in the 35th minute, which hit the crossbar above Dario Wilhelm's head, and flew over the goal. Cascade Park West's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Charlotte FC. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Amir Lee made the kick off in the second half.
