Theron Dooley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Lamela in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Lamela came free, but Theron Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicanor Loiola was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Chauncey Veilleux capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Collin Ramsey's late challenge caught a BASEL FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Collin Ramsey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of BASEL FC booed when NDG Fury FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. If Ómar Sharif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nicanor Loiola made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Ómar Sharif sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, NDG Fury FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Balaeț came free, but Theron Dooley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theron Dooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gery Hidayat, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Gery Hidayat could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Theron Dooley however easily saved by the left post. BASEL FC's Nicanor Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mårten Arenstedt in the 61st minute of play. Theron Dooley made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lilcho Ilchov sent off a good shot on target. In the 65thth minute of the game Erik Lamela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but NDG Fury FC's Theron Dooley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Theron Dooley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mircea Balaeț in the 67th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mircea Balaeț in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theron Dooley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. NDG Fury FC's Benjamin Davies was substituted for Chauncey Veilleux. Nicanor Loiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Davies, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Benjamin Davies's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicanor Loiola was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Theron Dooley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Lamela, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
