The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nemesio Cerilo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hipolito Jerico in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Santo Normando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Gomesano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Pedro Gorka put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Felipe Gomesano.
