In the 13th minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Afonso da Cunha ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Orvar Bäckström. Orvar Bäckström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 16 minutes into the game, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Afonso da Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orvar Bäckström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, Afonso da Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orvar Bäckström. Basavilbaso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso da Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 24th minute, Afonso da Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 28th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orvar Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Afonso da Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Orvar Bäckström. Basavilbaso FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 34 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Leguizamón came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basavilbaso FC's Orvar Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso da Cunha in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Afonso da Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After 45 played minutes Basavilbaso FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Cordara. In the 46th minute, Afonso da Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso da Cunha to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Basavilbaso FC's zone, Cumhur Günay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orvar Bäckström came out of the goal and Cumhur Günay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orvar Bäckström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's attentive Luca Savini managed to snatch the ball when Adolfo Cordara made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Afonso da Cunha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 73rd minute, Clemente Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS made a substitution. Steve Harris replaced Luca Savini. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Teodoro Hartz was substituted for Cumhur Günay. 76 minutes into the match, Basavilbaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso da Cunha came free, but Orvar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso da Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orvar Bäckström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Afonso da Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basavilbaso FC's Orvar Bäckström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 79 minutes, Afonso da Cunha made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Basavilbaso FC's Orvar Bäckström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Navin Dale fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's protests and gave Navin Dale a yellow card for diving instead. Basavilbaso FC made a substitution. Ernesto Quirze replaced Venancio Lop. After a rather tough play, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Navin Dale got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Afonso da Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso da Cunha couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Basavilbaso FC's Adolfo Cordara got a free kick in the 91st minute. 92 minutes into the game, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Teodoro Hartz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Orvar Bäckström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. 94 minutes into the match, Basavilbaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Hartz came free, but Orvar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Basavilbaso FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Belgrano LOS PIRATAS.
