The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Manuel Cruz got free with Robin Skålberg in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's goalkeeper Robin Skålberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juan Manuel Cruz. The supporters of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. booed when Sportivo Desamparados was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zhuang Ting Yuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Bergqvist in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robin Skålberg saved Sportivo Desamparados from getting behind. Robin Skålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nemesio Tximitx in the 78th minute of play. Nemesio Tximitx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin Skålberg having to interfere. Nemesio Tximitx might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robin Skålberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nemesio Tximitx ran back to his position shaking his head. If Benjamin Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
