The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leszek Bendyk during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Silvers Ilkus booed when FC WILXEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leszek Bendyk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Guipuzkoa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guust Verlinden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jurand Haskiewicz made a great header on Silvers Ilkus's corner, it was just that FC WILXEN's Prospero Guipuzkoa managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Haskiewicz in the 8th minute of play forced FC WILXEN's goalkeeper Prospero Guipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prospero Guipuzkoa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Haskiewicz in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Silvers Ilkus's goalkeeper Jedrzej Pinczewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leszek Bendyk. FC WILXEN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anton Iurașcu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC WILXEN's goalie and right to Guust Verlinden. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC WILXEN's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Grzegorz Smolarek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Pinczewski having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Grzegorz Smolarek got free with Jedrzej Pinczewski in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jurand Haskiewicz scored 0-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Guipuzkoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Prospero Guipuzkoa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurand Haskiewicz in the 51st minute. In the 54th play minute Guust Verlinden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Prospero Guipuzkoa. 0-2. 57 minutes into the match, Silvers Ilkus's Anton Iurașcu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prospero Guipuzkoa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC WILXEN getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Leszek Bendyk hit a great ball. With a little luck, FC WILXEN's Prospero Guipuzkoa got control of the ball when Jurand Haskiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prospero Guipuzkoa made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Anton Iurașcu sent off a good shot on target. Silvers Ilkus's Jedrzej Pinczewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jedrzej Jaruzelski in the 66th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Jedrzej Jaruzelski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC WILXEN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 71st minute of the match, Anton Iurașcu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Prospero Guipuzkoa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Silvers Ilkus were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after FC WILXEN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anton Iurașcu took the corner. Jurand Haskiewicz struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Prospero Guipuzkoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silvers Ilkus. Jedrzej Pinczewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jedrzej Jaruzelski in the 79th minute of the match. When Silvers Ilkus's Jurand Haskiewicz in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fábio-Fernando Cannavaro made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC WILXEN's Wieslaw Odachowski. The FC WILXEN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Silvers Ilkus's performance. The match ended with a win for Silvers Ilkus.
