Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kris Noander started the match with the kick off. Dirch Glerum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Herstad, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 8th minute Kris Noander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Adib Ovi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dirch Glerum was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, John-Arne Riise dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orla Haxmark, 1-1. Dirch Glerum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adib Ovi in the 23rd minute of the match. When Gettrup SIK's Kris Noander in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hønning's goalie prevented a goal. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isak Krontoft in the 27th minute of play. Hønning's Carlos Eduardo Varela quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Dalimil Kosík, made in the 33rd minute of the game. Dirch Glerum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Noander in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute Kris Noander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Hønning's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Noander came free, but Dirch Glerum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hønning's Dirch Glerum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Noander in the 45th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John-Arne Riise made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Gettrup SIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Koefoed to maneuver through the defense. John-Arne Riise sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Isak Krontoft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Koefoed's late challenge caught a Hønning's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alan Koefoed helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Alan Koefoed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hønning's Laurids Hvenekilde got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Hønning's goalkeeper Dirch Glerum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adib Ovi. When Alan Koefoed was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. The supporters of Hønning booed when Gettrup SIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Koefoed didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Laurids Hvenekilde shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orla Haxmark showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by John-Arne Riise in the 73rd minute of play forced Gettrup SIK's goalkeeper Orla Haxmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gettrup SIK's Franz Ringsager was substituted for Isak Krontoft. Gettrup SIK's Esben Dyrking was substituted for Kris Noander. In the 80th minute Adib Ovi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dirch Glerum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Betinho Beton in the 84th minute of play forced Gettrup SIK's goalkeeper Orla Haxmark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adib Ovi got free with Dirch Glerum in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Svanström hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 92 played minutes Hønning got a freekick which was hit by Jeppe Andersen. 94 minutes into the match, Gettrup SIK's Adib Ovi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Chants of Gettrup SIK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Hønning had held the ball for most of the match.
