Andries De Putter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willian Cuesta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Lei Bin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, ARES FC DeusDeFutbol's Lei Bin threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to make the kick off.
