Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meder Muños in the 27th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zico Zellier in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidio Roland prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Edvin Jansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Ovidio Roland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

GuateFortín's Nery Pumpido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meder Muños in the 51st minute of play. Meder Muños's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nery Pumpido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Zico Zellier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidio Roland. Intimos de Reynoso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zico Zellier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. GuateFortín's Heriberto Correa was substituted for Angel Alvarenga. Intimos de Reynoso made a substitution. Erez Marica replaced Meder Muños. Nery Pumpido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honesto Valensuela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes into the match, Intimos de Reynoso's goalkeeper Ovidio Roland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zico Zellier. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. GuateFortín had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
