The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Variante Delta getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Denis Inestrosa kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goalkeeper Alfredo Aguilar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caio Hornilla. The supporters of Variante Delta booed when Club Olimpia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustino Ortle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Variante Delta's Caio Hornilla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio Hornilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Haedo took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eraldo Guzman. Eraldo Guzman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Santiago Cachorro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ye Yao Le in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Güntekin Koca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Enginalp İdilkurt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Variante Delta made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Caio Hornilla. In the 48th minute, Enginalp İdilkurt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ladislao Erramu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Haedo got free with Eraldo Guzman in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Haedo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Guzman saved Variante Delta from getting behind. Variante Delta made a substitution. Serapio Reigada replaced Cuartio Sesmilo. The corner led Club Olimpia's Otsoa Manzardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Eraldo Guzman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nelson Haedo in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eraldo Guzman saved Variante Delta from getting behind. Eraldo Guzman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmund Lidberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ladislao Erramu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Aguilar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Eraldo Guzman made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Nelson Haedo sent off a good shot on target. Alfredo Aguilar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Bjørn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Serapio Reigada came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Aguilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ladislao Erramu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Variante Delta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Olimpia's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Olimpia.
