When Enrique Saura in the 65th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Mauro Catarinense kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-3 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mithat Mesut in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Oskar Svensson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bruno Oskitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tirant lo Blanch made a substitution. Iván Arraz replaced Pitin Vallejo. Daniel Cazacu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Inter Porteño's goalkeeper Mauro Catarinense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Cazacu. Mauro Catarinense acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Gaizka Mendieta. 85 minutes into the game, Maurin Baltanas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inter Porteño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tirant lo Blanch the free kick. In the 86th match minute, Inter Porteño was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurin Baltanas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Cazacu in the 97th minute of play forced Inter Porteño's goalkeeper Mauro Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tirant lo Blanch's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
