In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SIMvergüenzas's goalkeeper Beto Rodríguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of SIMvergüenzas booed when Radiohead Freaks Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kendall Roy didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SIMvergüenzas's Beto Rodríguez got control of the ball when Shao Qian Ao tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayo Mario in the 22nd minute of play forced SIMvergüenzas's goalkeeper Beto Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, SIMvergüenzas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rexino Pabon to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Cayo Mario recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Beto Rodríguez. Cayo Mario showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Jens-Ola Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute, Jan-Erik Magnusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SIMvergüenzas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan-Erik Magnusson to make the kick off. Beto Rodríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayo Mario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Tubagus Sumampouw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan-Erik Magnusson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tino Casal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Radiohead Freaks Club's Feliz Leon was substituted for Shao Qian Ao. SIMvergüenzas's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severino Encina in the 70th minute. It was a well-played corner which Tulio Vives managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Radiohead Freaks Club's Troyes Sainz was substituted for Cayo Mario. When Troyes Sainz came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Radiohead Freaks Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Troyes Sainz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SIMvergüenzas getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Perico Ferrer hit a great ball. If Jens-Ola Åkerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Troyes Sainz in the 89th minute of play forced SIMvergüenzas's goalkeeper Beto Rodríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beto Rodríguez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Troyes Sainz's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the final whistle went the supporters of SIMvergüenzas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Radiohead Freaks Club side.
