Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christijan Schreuder took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Christijan Schreuder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 7 minutes Bierunese's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Harm de Freitas who took care of the corner kick. Twan Hesseling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Werner Kamps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Japke de Boer in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Bram Sandstra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Werner Kamps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christijan Schreuder, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomiro Clementi during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Verwachting booed when Bierunese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Clementi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Verwachting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phoenix Soare to maneuver through the defense. If Christijan Schreuder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Verwachting's Twan Hesseling got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevin Arnolds fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herbert Hilhorst having to interfere. Twan Hesseling hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Twan Hesseling recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Kevin Arnolds made the kick off in the second half. Werner Kamps made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Japke de Boer sent off a good shot on target. Twan Hesseling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, Bierunese's goal looked a bit too open when Twan Hesseling came free, but Werner Kamps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bierunese's Werner Kamps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Twan Hesseling in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Verwachting's goal looked a bit too open when Demy Wansink came free, but Herbert Hilhorst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Werner Kamps was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Christijan Schreuder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christijan Schreuder really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Géza Fodor in the 95th minute of play forced Verwachting's goalkeeper Herbert Hilhorst to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Verwachting walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
