Alvaro Rudolfo had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Pedrão Godoi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Cunha got free with Alvaro Rudolfo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvaro Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Incendio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Romero in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xander Goos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alvaro Rudolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Efrain Incendio, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Dráusio Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Rudolfo having to make a save. In the 42nd minute, Raphael Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Efrain Incendio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Alvaro Rudolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
