Blumenau Esporte Clube's Narciso Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Blumenau Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. Xanda FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Danil Shashkov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Danil Shashkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ian Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Lucas-Ignacio Lugano got a free kick in the 14th minute. Ian Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danil Shashkov's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Xanda FC's Ian Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danil Shashkov in the 22nd minute of play. Narciso Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Ime Mavros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danil Shashkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danil Shashkov in the 35th minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 36 minutes of play, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Danil Shashkov made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ian Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Danil Shashkov in the 43rd minute of play forced Xanda FC's goalkeeper Ian Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Blumenau Esporte Clube were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto da Silva was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danil Shashkov got free with Ian Melo in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52ndth minute of the game Danil Shashkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xanda FC's Ian Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ian Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danil Shashkov in the 55th minute of the match. Danil Shashkov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Melo having to make a save. Xanda FC's Ian Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Xanda FC from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute Norberto da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Henrique Ramos in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Blumenau Esporte Clube's Hortêncio Fantini. If Danil Shashkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ian Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danil Shashkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Danil Shashkov made a precise shot to the right of Ian Melo. Xanda FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Jürgen Klinsmann kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ian Melo. That made the score 0-7 in the 89 minute of play. Tami Abraham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Ian Melo when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
