The supporters of Jumentus Rock Club booed when Grêmio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Jumentus Rock Club's Josué Souto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. If Josué Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grêmio's Roger Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Souto in the 13th minute of play. Rômulo Freire received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roger Seco came out and tried to block the shot, but Rômulo Freire slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 15th minute. Josué Souto had several of the Grêmio's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-0 score and a disappointed Roger Seco as he didn't even see the shot coming. Josué Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio's zone, Reinaldo Arce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Seco came out of the goal and Reinaldo Arce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Josué Souto scored 5-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roger Seco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 33 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Arce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Josué Souto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Seco having to make a save. Josué Souto did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 7-0 to the left of a surprised Roger Seco 39 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Josué Souto took a quick shot and it went in 8-0 without a chance for Roger Seco to make any attempt to save it. Josué Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Seco having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 9-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Santana made the kick off in the second half. The Jumentus Rock Club fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Jumentus Rock Club's Josué Souto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 56 minutes into the game, Jumentus Rock Club's Reinaldo Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. A collision led to Grêmio getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jorge Arruda hit a great ball. In the 61stth minute of the game Josué Souto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio's Roger Seco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute Josué Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Josué Souto notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Grêmio's Roger Seco. Roger Seco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 68 minutes into the game, Reinaldo Arce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the game, Vagner Løve cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 15-0. Roger Seco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Grêmio defense, Josué Souto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Seco. The Grêmio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Seco should have stopped the shot. In the 87th minute Reinaldo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josué Souto struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Roger Seco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jumentus Rock Club. After 90 minutes, Josué Souto made it 17-0 with a short kick to the right side. Grêmio's Roger Seco tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 97 minutes into the match, Jumentus Rock Club's Josué Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roger Seco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Jumentus Rock Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
