A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Tio Patinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Baptista came free, but Hudson Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frederico da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute of the match, Ian Barral tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Leigh Smith saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hudson Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Leão in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, FIEL F.C.'s Leigh Smith got control of the ball when Paulo Renato Valladares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Charles Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. FIEL F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson Cordeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enrico Carballeira hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Hudson Cordeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FIEL F.C.. After the first half FIEL F.C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Baptista made a kick off. If Charles Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Baptista in the 56th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Hudson Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FIEL F.C.'s Bernardo Machado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hudson Cordeiro. That made the score 1-3 after 64 minutes of play. After 66 minutes, Walmir Peres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tio Patinhas and the FIEL F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Walmir Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Paulo Renato Valladares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leigh Smith. FIEL F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luiz Fábio Leão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hudson Cordeiro having to make a save. Leigh Smith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Valladares, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Tio Patinhas's Geraldo Miranda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leigh Smith narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luiz Fábio Leão came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hudson Cordeiro could save by the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FIEL F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
