The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Queluzito's goalkeeper Valério Donatello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 8th minute Queluzito were awarded a corner. Dagoberto Sabóia went to the cornerflag to take it. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Pena in the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Deng Yue Zhen in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Donatello prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Deng Yue Zhen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valério Donatello was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Batalhão do Peçanha were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Queluzito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stéphane Ballon took the corner. After taking down the ball on Batalhão do Peçanha's corner Stéphane Ballon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valério Donatello quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deng Yue Zhen got free with Valério Donatello in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute, Deng Yue Zhen made a precise shot to the right of Valério Donatello. Queluzito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After having played for 28 minutes, Deng Yue Zhen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batalhão do Peçanha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deng Yue Zhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the game, Edinho Silva threw the ball into play from the sideline. Batalhão do Peçanha's Vânderson Vasconcelos quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Deng Yue Zhen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valério Donatello came out and tried to block the shot, but Deng Yue Zhen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Deng Yue Zhen in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valério Donatello saved Queluzito from getting behind.

In the 54th minute Epaminondas Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute Batalhão do Peçanha were awarded a corner. Stéphane Ballon went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Stéphane Ballon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Valério Donatello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Turgut Zor during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Turgut Zor kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Queluzito's Valério Donatello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deng Yue Zhen in the 61st minute of play. In the 69th minute, 柯默渊 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valério Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deng Yue Zhen in the 71st minute of play. Valério Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deng Yue Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Batalhão do Peçanha booed when Queluzito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute Epaminondas Baba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valério Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Şensoy Yağmurdereli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías de Senna in the 88th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Queluzito walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
