The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Benjamin Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuca Lara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes As de Ouro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aílton Melo who took care of the corner kick. Samuca Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lara in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, As de Ouro's Luís Fernando Zanette got a free kick in the 19th minute. Samuca Lara didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Lara went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amauri Vieira scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuca Lara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Samuca Lara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Benjamin Lara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha was substituted for Benjamin Lara. Jerry Uchiha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amauri Vieira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Samuca Lara made a huge save. In the 72nd minute Joinville Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Aílton Melo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Allan Simão almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but As de Ouro's Samuca Lara did a great save. In the 73rd minute, Nilton de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Jerry Uchiha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but As de Ouro's Samuca Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Luís Fernando Zanette in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Joinville Esporte Clube's Gilmar Velloso. Samuca Lara stood somewhat misplaced when Jerry Uchiha came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 79 minute. As de Ouro's Pedro Augusto Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuca Lara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Jerry Uchiha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Samuca Lara. Jerry Uchiha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. Serafim Messias hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Nestor Koehler charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Koehler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes As de Ouro got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Koehler. Joinville Esporte Clube's Jerry Uchiha was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 97th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Joinville Esporte Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
