The audience thought a goal was coming when Florencio Villegas got free with Armando Gartxot in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cornelio Villegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Bagge in the 6th minute of play. With his leg Armando Gartxot managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Cavaliers FC's Florencio Villegas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 10 minutes of play, Titanes Mayas's Franklin Souto made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Villegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 13 played minutes Cavaliers FC got a freekick which was hit by Severo Tohias. In the 16th minute Franklin Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Villegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Florencio Villegas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Gartxot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Cavaliers FC booed when Titanes Mayas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Bagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florencio Villegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Gartxot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. If Florencio Villegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Titanes Mayas's Armando Gartxot got control of the ball when Florencio Villegas tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 played minutes Titanes Mayas got a freekick which was hit by Cipriano Baladi. Rosendo Brun hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Florencio Villegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cavaliers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Titanes Mayas the free kick. A collision led to Cavaliers FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Florencio Villegas hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Villegas in the 60th minute of play forced Titanes Mayas's goalkeeper Armando Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cavaliers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florencio Villegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 65 played minutes Titanes Mayas got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Reneros. After having played for 66 minutes, Florencio Villegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 70th match minute, Cavaliers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ambrosio Iratxo to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Titanes Mayas's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Villegas came free, but Armando Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute of the match Cavaliers FC got a corner. Titanes Mayas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ambrosio Iratxo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ambrosio Iratxo made a great header on Cavaliers FC's corner, it was just that Titanes Mayas's Armando Gartxot managed to reach the ball for a save. Cornelio Villegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhang Xiang Han in the 75th minute of play. Florencio Villegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Gartxot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Cornelio Villegas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Blai. 80 minutes into the match, Cavaliers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Blai came free, but Cornelio Villegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Titanes Mayas's zone, Florencio Villegas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Gartxot came out of the goal and Florencio Villegas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ambrosio Iratxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Leopoldo Reneros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Titanes Mayas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 94th minute, Victorio Mero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Marcos Arano replaced Teofilo Mikeldi. Victorio Mero hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Cavaliers FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
